This post is SUPER long, so sit down, put yourself a glass of NUUN (or wine) and settle in. I have some exciting things to share and I want to get them all out there in my weekly recap post. However, if you didn't check in here the rest of the week, be sure to look back at this post of running favorites from Rita and this post recapping my experience at PIZZA CAMP! Weekly Recap: 10 Weeks Post-Broken Leg
Hello there! I'm posting my weekly recap a little late (err, my sole weekly post...man, I need to find time to blog more often!) I have an excuse, we were out of town on a little vacation. But I'm here to share how fitness went in my world now that I am 10 weeks post-dramatic tibia/fibula break. Let's recap! Fitting Remarks: 10 Things I’ve Learned So Far From a Broken Leg
On February 17th, I slipped on the ice during a 20 mile long run and broke my tibia and fibula in multiple places. I had surgery a week later, with screws and plates implanted to hold it all together. This all happened three weeks before my husband and I were supposed to embark on a two-week trip to Antarctica, where I would have completed my 30th marathon, the Antarctica Marathon. So, Continue Reading
Right Fit Coaching

Last March, I took the RRCA Level 1 Coaching Certification Course (and subsequent exam) and have been growing my coaching 'business' since then! What does coaching with me include? So far, I primarily coach women who are training for either a half marathon or a full marathon. I put Continue Reading

Dr. Marc Swiontkowski was my surgeon at TRIA. He has a great reputation; he's known as one of the best trauma surgeons in the area, which was Continue Reading
Preparing for the Antarctica Marathon

Of course, it will be totally different when I have a real experience to share with you! But here goes... We are running the Antarctica Marathon through Marathon Tours. All the information about registration can be found HERE. There is another marathon on Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: Training for the Antarctica Marathon
Cheers to running outside! Though my paces were slower than normal, I got outside for all but 10 out of 60 miles of running. Yay! Here's how this week of training for the Antarctica marathon went: Monday: HUGE blizzard in Minnesota, just as forecasted. I think in the city we received over a foot of snow. It was the most snow in a single day in the past 7 years; it was nuts. It started in the Continue Reading
