Last night's webinar with Nathan of Minneapolis Running (and me) was all about Race Day Gear. If you're training for the Twin Cities Marathon (or any fall marathon), I think these tips will be helpful as you start to finalize your gear for the big day. I'll share the video of our webinar soon, but I thought I could recap here for Fit Tip Friday just a few of the things that we talked about. Continue Reading
Fitting Remarks: A Reflection on my 2014 Minneapolis Summer Bucket List
Labor Day has passed us by, so I suppose I should concede that summer is on it's way out... It doesn't officially end until September 22, but I figure it's time for me to reflect upon my summer bucket list and see how I did. Here we go! 1. Leave a note for the elf on Lake Harriet. Come back later and search for a personalized response. Done! I left him a note on a Sunday and came back to Continue Reading

I did this workout with the Calhoun Beach Continue Reading

Fits Do Race Reviews: The City of Lakes Half Marathon
This past Sunday, I ran the Jeff Winter City of Lakes half marathon. I believe this race was the original Minneapolis marathon (you can read about the history of the race HERE). Then it was changed to a 25k. This year was the first year that it was changed to a half marathon. The course starts at Beard's Plaisance on Lake Harriet. It goes around Lake Harriet to Lake Calhoun back to Lake Harriet Continue Reading
