Happy Holidays! I hope you had an awesome week. I'm here with my weekly recap of training for the Houston Marathon, which is 4 weeks away! This was a big week in training, though I did take an unplanned (though much needed) rest day. Here's how things went this week: Monday: I ran to meet my friend Christie for a morning run; we did 5 together and I did 4 alone to get to 9 miles at a 9:20 Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 5 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
Five weeks until my 30th full marathon! I'm really starting to get excited to take on 26.2 miles again...I just love marathons and have missed them in 2018. Darn broken leg. 2019 is going to be a much better year! This week was a bit of a cutback week in training for Houston and I'm excited that I was able to fit in more non-running activities! Here's how things went: Monday: 9 easy miles on Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 6 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
6 weeks to go! This week was definitely a 'peak' week in mileage. Next week will be a cutback before two more hard weeks, then the taper. Then on to my 30th full marathon and first one back since breaking my leg- woo-hoo! Here's how this past week went. Monday: Run commute; this was my only opportunity to run commute this week since Dustin was traveling the rest of the week for work. Continue Reading

I was able to fit in a vinyasa Continue Reading

It's Sunday and weekly recap time! If you only check in on Sundays, be sure to read this review from earlier this week of the SPIBeam hat. It's a great product! I am nine weeks out from the Houston Marathon. Here's how training (and life!) went this past week: Monday: 9 miles on the treadmill in the evening. I had hoped to do this run before work, but without combining it into a run Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 19 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
Hello there! I'm a day late with my weekly recap, but that's because I just returned from a long weekend in Georgia. The purpose of this post is to share how my training went this week. If you're new here, I broke Continue Reading
