'Twas a good week! I got to run outside TWICE, including my 20 miler! Here's how training went this week for the Antarctica Marathon: Monday: President's Day! I had the day off of work. What's a girl to do? Head to an 8 am dentist appointment :) But after the dentist, I met my friend Vicki for a 7.25 mile run- OUTSIDE! After 50 miles on the treadmill last week, running outside in the Continue Reading
2018: A Year in Review
At the end of every year, I usually recap the year in running on the blog. Usually those recaps include multiple marathons. For example, in 2016, I ran FIVE full marathons in one year. But this year? Zero marathons. Running in 2018 was defined by one thing- a broken leg*. *And a cancelled trip to Antarctica. I'll go ahead and recap each month... January 2018: I was excitedly Continue Reading

I broke my leg; this was my recovery.
On February 16th, my life as I knew it changed drastically (so dramatic, but it's true!); I was three weeks out from the Antarctica Marathon. Running was no longer a part of my life. Antarctica was off the Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 14 Weeks Since I Broke My Leg
It's been 14 weeks since I ran...3 1/2 months! Forever. This has been the longest break that I have ever taken from running since I started distance running 18 years ago. I'm getting closer to recovered but still not there. If you're new to this blog, you can read my story in Runner's World HERE. I was interviewed a few weeks ago for the article. This post, this post, and this post are Continue Reading

Hello there and welcome to my blog! If you’re new to The Right Fits, let me catch you up on my current situation. This post, this post, and this post are a great place to start. My trip was cancelled, I had Continue Reading
