I've been doing a lot of complaining so far this winter about running outside and the winter has only just begun! You've probably noticed how much more I'm opting for the treadmill (which is an easy choice when its right in the basement) And I did take a hard fall the other day on an icy winter run that left me with a nasty bruise and shaken confidence. There are reasons for all this complaining, Continue Reading
Happy New Year & the 2017 Plank Challenge!
Happy New Year everyone! If you missed it, I shared this post reflecting on running through 2016. Reflecting on the year can be valuable but now it's time to look forward and work towards new goals in 2017! Before I share my weekly recap of training for the Boston Marathon (only 15 weeks to go!), I wanted to let you know that I am hosting a January plank challenge again. Tuesday: Finally warm Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: Not the best start to Boston training…

I'm back with my coach Antonio; I thought I was ready and psyched to do the work! But unfortunately, Continue Reading
Fitting Remarks: I got in!
Today was the big day: the day I found out if the 4 minutes and 23 seconds under my Boston Qualifying time of 3:40 would be enough to get me into the Boston Marathon. It's no longer enough just to qualify- nope, you need to qualify by a significant margin! It was "Casual for a Cause" day at work; we could pay $5 to dress down. I took advantage of this and wore my London Marathon (Boston Continue Reading
