Last Sunday morning, as I relaxed in front of the TV with my morning coffee, watching the live coverage of the New York City marathon, I couldn't help but notice that Meb Keflezighi was wearing compression socks; not very many of the other men in the leader pack were. But guess what? Meb finished seventh at age 40 in his 10th NYC Marathon. His time of 2:13:32 was a national masters record. Continue Reading
Minnesuing Acres Women’s Running Retreat Recap: Part 1
I had a great experience at the Minnesuing Acres Women's Running Retreat that I attended last weekend. I had never attended a running retreat, but I definitely will be doing more in the future if I can! My sister Erin and I registered for the day camp only, which was $295. Weekly Recap: A Birthday, Running Camp, & 76 Miles.
I'm behind on my "training for the Richmond Marathon" recaps, so I'm going to share last week really quickly and then move on to this week- my BIG push week! Here's how it all worked out: Monday: 7 miles in the morning with a two run club friends Continue Reading

We were at the cabin, so Dustin joined me for my tempo run. I had 2 miles to warm-up, then 6 miles at a tempo Continue Reading

On August 29, I ran the Team Ortho Women Rock 1/2 Marathon in St. Paul, MN. This event included a half-marathon, 10k, and 5k, as well as a 2.5k race on Friday night.
