Monday: The week started out with an unplanned rest day. I had a bit of a cold (maybe just run down from 62 miles the week before and a few late nights due to the wedding festivities) so I slept in and took a Continue Reading

Fits Do Race Reviews: The Brookings Marathon
On May 11, 2019, I ran my 32nd marathon, the Brookings Marathon in South Dakota. It was my 21st state in my 50-state marathon quest. I ran this marathon with my sister Erin; I called myself her "pacer," but in reality, I just ran it with her for the experience...because I love running marathons with her! I wasn't ever planning to run a particular pace and hold that pace no matter what happened Continue Reading

Weekly Recap: 16 Weeks Until the Houston Marathon
There are 16 weeks until the Houston Marathon, which will hopefully be my 30th full marathon! Generally most marathon training plans are 16 weeks long, so I guess this is the official kickoff to training. I'm excited and feeling cautiously optimistic. The gorgeous fall running weather this week definitely helped. This is seriously the best time of year to be a runner. I hope this weather Continue Reading
