Welcome to 2020! I hope your year is going well so far. I shared a post this week reflecting on running through 2019 and my plans for 2020; catch up HERE. Obviously, first up on the 2020 calendar is the Atlanta marathon which is now 8 weeks away! Here's how training went this past week: Monday: 6 miles on the treadmill before work, 9:15 min/mile average. Discover Strength after work. Tuesday: 7 Continue Reading
Running through 2019!
It's always fun to reflect on the year in running, and the blog makes it easier to do so, since everything is documented and available at my fingertips! After no marathons in 2018 due to a broken leg and then a long road to recovery, 2019 was my marathon comeback year! ...and that marathon comeback started with the Houston Marathon in January, where I comfortably ran a 3:56. I was Continue Reading
10 Weeks Until the Atlanta Marathon
It's officially winter! Though it doesn't really feel like it; Minneapolis is actually experiencing a bit of a warm-up this week (I love it; who needs a white Christmas??), with temps over 40 degrees! I'm not complaining, the warmer temps made training for the Atlanta marathon a lot better! There are now 10 weeks until March 1, i.e. 10 weeks until the Atlanta marathon! As you may know, the Continue Reading
14 Weeks Until the Atlanta Marathon!
If you missed my recap of the Indianapolis Marathon, catch up HERE; in that post, I shared that my next marathon will be the Publix Atlanta Marathon on March 1! Dustin (my husband) and I had already planned to go to Atlanta to watch the Olympic Trials. Since we haven't run a marathon in Georgia yet and are doing the 50-state challenge, we decided to register for the marathon the next day. I Continue Reading

This past Sunday, I completed my 33rd full marathon, the Monumental Indianapolis Marathon. For a full list of my previous 32 marathons, check out this page. This was my 22nd state in my quest to run a marathon in every state, and my 2nd fastest marathon ever. This post will share details on my personal performance as well as the race in general. If there are any details I missed that you'd Continue Reading
One Week Until the Indianapolis Marathon!
Just one week to go until the Indianapolis Marathon! I've been counting down the weeks to the Indianapolis for quite a while now. Though this will be my fourth marathon of 2019, (Houston, Antarctica, Brookings), it's the first one where I feel like I might be close to where I was pre-broken leg. My goal is to break 3:35, though I think I would be happy with anything in the 3:3X zone. I've put Continue Reading
Weekly Recap: 5 Weeks Until the Indianapolis Marathon
I missed my weekly recap last weekend. I guess that my training recap from 6 weeks until Indianapolis will forever remain a mystery! I don't think I've ever missed a recap before, but I figure it doesn't make sense to squeeze it all into one long recap, so I'm just moving on to this week's recap... But before I dive into my recap, be sure to check out my friend Vicki's guest post about Continue Reading
