When I packed my suitcase for the Outer Bank Marathon last weekend, my Oiselle Roga shorts were definitely in it. These are my new “race” shorts. I absolutely love them! They treated me well on my most recent 26.2 mile journey and I plan to bring them to Tokyo for the marathon in February as well.
I have mentioned these shorts before as they are definitely my current favorites! They are a little on the pricey side, but I have had my gray pair (pictured below) for several years now and they are just as perfect as when I bought them.
Why do I love the Roga Shorts?
I love the fit. They have a wide waist band and flattering cut. They come in a variety of colors.
The shorts are very light-weight and quick to dry on a hot day. Let me correct that- they are extremly quick to dry. After the OBX marathon, I had barely put my medal on and I noticed that they had already completely dried. And it was a sweaty day too (upper 60’s during the race).
Best of all? They don’t chafe!
The Oiselle Rogas include a sizable zippered pocket on the back which is big enough for a couple of Gus, keys, or even an iPhone.
What about the sizing?
For reference, I usually wear a small. However, my older pairs are a medium and they appear to be about the same as my smalls. I think the sizing or the cut must have changed a little in the past year or two, as I originally ordered the above Fast Red pair in a medium and they were too big.
Where can I get a pair?
Order your own pair here for for $46.
Do you have a pair of Roga shorts? What are your thoughts?
I recently ordered a pair of the Long Roga Shorts in orange, in the same size (medium) as my Oiselle Distance Shorts and they are WAAAAAYYYY too small. And, I can’t return them. I really wanted to love them. Bummed. I think I may try to sell them on eBay. Glad you’re so happy with yours! I would definitely try again and order up a size.
Oh no Katie! How strange that the sizes are so varied. That’s not good. My experience was the opposite where the mediums were fine and then too big. Argh! How frustrating! I would definitely try to sell them on eBay since they aren’t cheap 🙁
