While LL was reminiscing of Halloween costumes of the past last night (isn’t she a cute She-ra?), I was sweating my booty off at a Corepower “Real Ryder” class with my one of run club friends.
I was briefly introduced to this class during my Corepower bootcamp last January (read about it here!) But this time, I endured the full 45 minute class, and lived to tell the tale!
I thought 45 minutes would seem too short, but I was ready for the class to be over, and my sweat towel was soaked- eew!
These Real Ryder bikes are meant to simulate road biking as follows:
“With ordinary stationary bikes, you just sit and don’t engage your core. The RealRyder® gives you a stationary bike ride that’s anything but stationary.
- Engage more muscles than you would on a traditional indoor bike
- Work your core more than you would on a regular indoor bike
- Burn more calories
- Overcome boredom with a more fun and dynamic riding experience
I do wonder though…why does Corepower Yoga have Real Ryder bikes? A yoga studio…with spin classes…Anyone know the reason behind that?
Tips:
Bring water
Bring a sweat towel- you will SWEAT!
Bring padded bike shorts or a seat pad if you have one
Bring your bike shoes if you have them
Get there at least 10 minutes early- I was there even earlier (see above picture) but it does fill up pretty quickly, and there are a limited number of bikes.
